The other day, my friend Elisha and I went to a paddleboarding + mimosas group class, and let me tell you, it was the most fun I’ve ever had paddleboarding! One of the things that I love about living in Lake of the Ozarks is that it’s a vacation hot spot in a remote area of the country and there’s always something going on.
Girls Weekend Ideas: Paddleboarding in Lake of the Ozarks
If you’re ever in the Lake of the Ozarks area, definitely check out Kali’a Maluhia SUP Yoga in Osage Beach. Here are a few of the classes she has scheduled on the calendar for the year:
- Sunset SUP Yoga Class ($30)
- Sunset Paddle & Wine ($20)
- Sunrise Paddle & Mimosas ($20)
I mean, how fun is that?! I can’t wait to try them all! 🥂💦
One of the things that I really appreciated about Kali’a Maluhia SUP Yoga was that Kalise, the owner, uses these high end paddleboards. I had never heard of Boga Boards before, but they are super stable. You know how on some boards you just feel like you’re going to fall right off? Well, not with these. You just feel super secure, which makes sense since they’re built for doing yoga on them.
Besides the boards and the awesome class idea, I just loved the sense of community from the group. I remember when I was living in Chicago I suffered from choice paralysis, always hopping around from Groupon to Groupon, never really “settling” and becoming loyal to one class. What I love about becoming loyal to one class is that you can start forming friendships and a community when you see the same people time and time again. You’re not just a number. And I really felt that here.
Tomorrow we’re going to the Sunset Paddle & Wine class. Hopefully, we’ll be able to try a couple of the paddleboarding yoga classes before winter though. I’ve heard it’s such an amazing workout for your core and entire body!
